My name is Kara.
I am a wife, mother, friend, and soon to be first time Nana.
My husband Daniel and I have been married for 29 years. By the Grace of God and a lot of work, we have managed to stay blissfully married despite all the obstacles life has thrown us thus far. We have shared the joys of life as well as the deepest moments of sorrow. Through our shared strong faith in God, we have managed to not only survive life, but to be happy, content and still have joyous moments. This blog site will be a site for me to share stories; not just my stories, but also stories recited to me from my parents. I will also share money saving tips that have helped us through the years. And recipes. Lots of really delicious, down home recipes even the pickiest of eaters will like.
We have three beautiful children; 1 boy sandwiched in between the girls. All of our children were blessed with my horrendous sense of humor and that couldn't make me happier. Our oldest daughter, my songbird, is giving us the prize we deserve for somehow managing to keep her alive throughout her adventurous childhood: a grandchild is on the way and should be arriving within the next month! Nana's heart could burst from happiness! Our son ran ahead to Heaven when he was 16. I am sure we will be exploring that in more detail in a series of blogs. Our youngest daughter is the light in every room she walks into.
