It has been a busy few weeks in our household. Busy, Scary, fun and intense....
We were honored to help welcome our first grandchild into the world. Our daughter went into labor on a Friday afternoon and was in labor until Sunday afternoon.
She gave me one of the greatest honors and privileges a person can have... She asked me for help in the laboring process and we got to spend a lot of time together that weekend. Watching her transform from a frightened, unsure woman to a mother determined to get to hold her precious bundle of joy was an amazing sight. Her and her husband allowed me the honor of also being in the delivery room as well. Watching the love between them and the non verbal communication of what she needed as well as the shared joy when "Little Big Foot" (If foot size is any indication, this child is going to be a giant)
arrived almost brought me to my knees.
Again, I cannot brag enough about what a great little Mama Bear my daughter has turned in to. She has taken to being a mother like a duck to water. It seems to come so naturally for her and the bond between her and this grandchild is amazing to see.
So I am a Nana now. A proud Nana of the most precious little angel. A proud Mama of the strongest little Mama I know. A proud Mother-in-law of a new Dad who takes his new role so seriously and is totally enthralled with his new little family.
